The Validation Process

All new and existing member organisations of 'Youth Matter!' are obliged to take part in our Validation process.

What is Validation?

The Validation process is a free service employed to ensure that youth services in Warrington are providing the best service possible for young people.

Two Validation assessors will conduct an on-site assessment of the organisation, looking at the following five areas:

  • Child Protection measures
  • Equal opportunities
  • Financial structure
  • Health and safety
  • Management

When the assessment is complete, a report is written and then discussed with committee members. If the process is successful a certificate of Validation will be awarded to the organisation.

When will Validation take place?

Validation takes place within one year of an organisation joining and is reviewed every three years.

What happens if our organisation fails the Validation Process?

If your organisation fails the Validation process, 'Youth Matter!' provides enough assistance and support in order to satisfy the Validation requirements with a clear and achievable action plan.
